Lemony Snicket's, A Series of Unfortunate Events: The Terrible Times

Just a little something I did to show my love for the books and the story^^ Even if it's a children series it's still a very good one

There are many things in the pic that have to do with the books(and movie,which I loved too^^)

First the banner that says "The Terrible Times" indicating the terrible things that awaited the Beaudelaires after they're parent's death. The banner is burning because their parents died in a fire.

The two notebooks on the floor belong to Duncan and Isadora the Quagmire triplets. The purple paper is an ad for Madame Lulu who resides(resided) in the Caligari Carnival. and the telescope thingy from the movie that all members of VFD had.

The sky and clouds also change to give the "welcome to the Terrible Times" feel. They go from sky blue and whit fluffy clouds, to red sky and dark ominous clouds. The crows are from the Vile Village. And the pieces of paper are from the Snicket and Beaudelaire files.The balloon in the sky is one that appears in "The Hostile Hospital" originally it's a happy face, but I drew it in a sad face to show the terrible times lol

The grassy hill on which the Beaudelaires stand goes from grassy to dusty dead rock. As well as the big green tree > dead thin trees. The sticks are suppose to represent the burned mansion and the tower is suppose to be Olaf's tower which(in the movie) is the cause of the fire. The blue mountain in the background is the "Slippery Slope". On the big tree's branch is the ersatz rope which was used to climb down and up the ersatz elevator in 667 Dark Avenue. The apples are from The End and go from nice and ripe, to dead.

And finally the Beaudelaires. I drew them how they appear illustrated in the books. As well from the books illustrator I added detail to the tree,Beaudelaires, and crows using his 'cross' style^^
